Welcome to the Premier Girl's Lacrosse Event in the Country!
Registration/Check In:
All teams are required to check-in and register at the Evolution Games Tent, 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled game. Rosters will be checked and programs distributed.
Rules of Play:
2009 US Lacrosse Women’s Rules will be used for 2010-2013 divisions. 2009 US Lacrosse Youth A rules will be used for the 2014-2016 divisions.
Point Accumulation:
3 Points for a Win!
1 Point for a Tie!
0 Points for a Loss!
Duration of Game:
All games will have 2 X 25 minute halves on a running clock. There are 5 minutes before the start of each game. There will be NO TEAM TIMEOUTS DURING ANY GAME. A central horn will be used to start and stop games. Teams are urged to ready to play at the start of the horn. Referees have the authority to start or end a half early to keep the games on schedule.
Playoffs:
Middle School Division Playoffs: Every team in the Championship Brackets will advance to the playoffs and play at least one game in the single elimination tournament at Muldoon's Farm in Poolesville, MD. Directions to Muldoon's.
The 2010 Division will have the top 2 seeds from each pool advance to the playoffs while the 2011 and 2012 divisions will have the top seeds from each pool advance to the playoffs.
Showcase Bracket Teams will play 4 games of pool play only.

The schedule will not be modified due to rain outs! We will simply continue on the schedule based on times assigned by the scheduler! In case of lightning all fields must be cleared!
Coaching: All Coaches have total responsibility for the conduct of their players, substitutes, friends, and spectators at all times. Coaching from the sidelines (giving direction to one’s own team on points of strategy and position) is permitted, provided:
 The tone of the voice is instructive and not derogatory;
 Each coach or substitute remains on their own half of the field between the
substitution area and the restraining line.
 No coach, substitute, or spectator makes derogatory remarks or gestures to the umpires, other coaches, players, substitutes, or spectators;
 No coach, substitute, or spectator uses profanity or incites, in any manner, disruptive behavior.
 Officials have the right at anytime to stop a game, eject a coach based on fans or players behaviors, or due to violent nature of a teams play.
Player Equipment:
It will be at the officials’ discretion to determine the safety and suitability of player equipment including the wearing of an orthopedic cast or hard brace. Mouth guards must be multicolored and eye protection is mandatory for all players.
Yellow and Red Cards:
A player or coach receiving two yellow cards in a single game is considered to have been given a red card. A player or coach who has been ejected will not be allowed to participate in the next scheduled game. A player of coach who is ejected for violent conduct or serious foul play (Red Card) may be subject to not participating in the remainder of the tournament. Any player or coach that assaults another will be expelled from the tournament. Ejections are determined by the referees; expulsions by the tournament director.
Suspended and Terminated Games:
If in the opinion of the game officials, a game must be suspended for any reason the game may be resumed but is subject to being ended not less than five (5) minutes prior to the scheduled start of the next game. If in the opinion of game officials, a game must be terminated for misconduct of players, bench coaches, or spectators, the offending team could be suspended from further play and forfeits that game and all remaining games.
Injury:
Delays of the game due to an injury may result in shortened game times. All games must end 5 minutes prior to the next scheduled game on that field. Ice for injuries will be placed at the center of each sideline. Field Marshals will be assigned to each “quad” of fields and can summon the trainer to your field in case of injury or emergency.
Home Team:
The Home Team will be the team that appears first on the game schedule. The Home Team will be required to switch to alternate jersey/or wear pinnies to accommodate a color conflict as declared by the umpire.
Forfeits:
Teams failing to report to assigned games will not be invited back next year.
Disputes:
All disputes will be settled by the Tournament Director or his/her designed and the decision will be final…Hey, we shouldn’t have any, we will have scoreboards at every field!
SCORING SYSTEM FOR ALL DIVISIONS:
Determining Winners:
*In the event that there is a tie in total points at the end of the tournament play, the winner will be determined as follows:
1. Compare head to head competition of tied teams. Winner in head to head
competition advances. (If three teams tied, proceed to next tie breaker)
2. Compare goals scored against each team. The team with the fewest goals scored against advances.
3. Compare goals scored by each team. The team with the most total goals scored in tournament play advances.
4. Compare total wins by each team. The team with the most wins advances.
5. Compare which team has the most shutouts. The team with the most shutouts advances.
